Preparing to film

 Hey blog, for this point I'm going over some discussion with my group on how our filming process is going to go.

My groups preparations for the film have had its challenges, We've easily created the main story where we were planning on all of us being actors, But we did run into a disagreement with one of our teammates not wanting to be on film. Here is a little breakdown of what we've done.

Actors: Zachary Vassil, Maya Miller, Isaiah Banton (me) 
Costumes: Zach (shoes, jeans, white t-shirt), Me (shoes, jeans, beanie, hoodie), Maya (shoes, jeans, sweater)

Props: Evil camera, skateboard (brought by me)

Locations: School, different classrooms, closet.

Dates and times: after school hours/nighttime

Scripts: We'll be breaking into school, so we don't get caught we run into a closet where we find an old camera. After using it something sinister appears before us. As it stalks us throughout the school we must find a way to get out (all the doors are locked). In the end the entity catches up to us and the screen goes black, a newspaper appears stating 3 kids missing in Hollywood hills Highschool. Some one rips the paper off of a pole and that's where the film ends.

Film equipment: Our phones, and camera.

Evaluation of Peer Reviews

 Hello blog, this post is one where my group and I collaborate to look at the reviews on our video and basically say what we feel about these reviews and how we used them to improve our opener. Peer Review #1 (https://alessajandro.blogspot.com/):   1. Technical elements I enjoyed were the chiaroscuro lighting, shadows, and low-key lighting used throughout the opener. They all contributed to building tension and uneasiness in the clip.   2. Technical elements I did not enjoy were the lack of brightness and the lack of sound effects in specific parts of the opener. For example, during the scene with the dark hallway it is harder to interpret what is occurring and could leave the audience a bit confused.   3. This did look like a movie opener and makes the audience want to learn more considering it is left on a cliffhanger.   4.   What left me confused was the volume of the dialogue throughout the opener as it would sometimes be too loud or too...

Filming Process

 Hello Blog, this post will be covering my group's process in filming. Planning: All the way up until last week my group was planning for our film location and time. We finally settled with our ideas around Monday and planned to film on Tuesday. Filming: We decided to actually get our filming done on Tuesday 2/11. We chose multiple locations for our different scenes which capture some teens "breaking into a school".  This picture shows one of my group members capturing a shot of the very beginning our our film introduction where I can be seen messing with the computer, emulating a teen checking their grades for the purpose of our plot, this is the motivation for the teens to break into school as they want to change their grades. This image captures my classmate and I filming a POV shot inside of a creepy corridor inside the school.
