Costuming

Hello blog, this post goes over some basic details of character design to help give you guys an idea of the character's looks and feels.

Angel Kennedy (Maya) : Black sneakers, black jeans, black t-shirt. This is just a simple youthful look that represents the characters age group and the black colors also portray that the teens are trying to be sneaky and mischievous.


Jack Marley (Isaiah) : Black and white shoes, grey baggy jeans, black hoodie, skate board. This character will aim to fit a typical skateboarder archetype. Also in black for the same reasons as character 1. 


Bob Retsu (Zach) : black dirty adidas slides, black sweatpants, black shirt/sweater with sleeves rolled up. This costume will try to portray a confident nature as this character will function as the "glue" of the group.


Character 4/Entity (Kevin) : Dark figure, not going to be clearly visible. This figure will aim to evoke anxiousness, anticipation, and fear.

It made the film interesting and dynamic. The parallel editing alongside the tracking shots made it feel like we were actually in the film. Evaluation of Peer Reviews

 Hello blog, this post is one where my group and I collaborate to look at the reviews on our video and basically say what we feel about these reviews and how we used them to improve our opener. Peer Review #1 (https://alessajandro.blogspot.com/):   1. Technical elements I enjoyed were the chiaroscuro lighting, shadows, and low-key lighting used throughout the opener. They all contributed to building tension and uneasiness in the clip.   2. Technical elements I did not enjoy were the lack of brightness and the lack of sound effects in specific parts of the opener. For example, during the scene with the dark hallway it is harder to interpret what is occurring and could leave the audience a bit confused.   3. This did look like a movie opener and makes the audience want to learn more considering it is left on a cliffhanger.   4.   What left me confused was the volume of the dialogue throughout the opener as it would sometimes be too loud or too...

Filming Process

 Hello Blog, this post will be covering my group's process in filming. Planning: All the way up until last week my group was planning for our film location and time. We finally settled with our ideas around Monday and planned to film on Tuesday. Filming: We decided to actually get our filming done on Tuesday 2/11. We chose multiple locations for our different scenes which capture some teens "breaking into a school".  This picture shows one of my group members capturing a shot of the very beginning our our film introduction where I can be seen messing with the computer, emulating a teen checking their grades for the purpose of our plot, this is the motivation for the teens to break into school as they want to change their grades. This image captures my classmate and I filming a POV shot inside of a creepy corridor inside the school.
